One of my favorite things when I go to campus with our team is we actually do a lot of interviews on social media when people come up and say, “Tell us why you’re voting.” That’s it. Or, “What’s important to you about this election?” And what was really cool was that I was interviewing two sets of friends. They were new to campus. They had only met in the dormitory two days ago, but they had already become super best friends. And one young woman, as you asked, she’s 18 years old and she’s going to be a first-time voter, and she was very excited. Vote. She apparently said, “Regarding Project 2025, these are all the policy reasons I would vote for abortion.” And her friend said, “I don’t know. I think Kamala is cool, so I want to vote for Kamala.” ” he said. And what’s been great about it is that they’re learning from each other, but I’m always really impressed by the level of knowledge that people have.
So when you come to your table at NextGen, not only will you be welcomed by other young people, but you may also find them making Taylor Swift friendship bracelets at our booth. We also had coffee, donuts, and various games and prizes. And of course, the big keepsakes that people love are the Hot Girls Vote campaign and the Bad Boys Vote campaign. That’s why people love the memorabilia and stickers that come out of them. So people’s dorms can get a little boring. They actually came to the booth to paint and display original artwork in their dorms. That’s why many of these activities attract people.
We also have great local influencers with significant geographic followings. So there was a pair of huskies, not humans, who had a huge following in Wisconsin. So we signed up the dogs. In fact, it’s the owners who are using their platforms to tell people about the voting deadline and encourage them to vote, and to make sure the dogs know why they want to vote and who the dogs are. I registered to let you know. Vote if you can.
We’re trying to increase the number of men in our organization and make sure we’re growing, and we’re also organizing on Discord and Twitch to reach young men. We know that men of color don’t vote as high. So this election, we’re also targeting specific men of color and states like Pennsylvania and Arizona to make sure they use their platforms to connect with young people and make sure they have access to reliable, honest, and true information when they can. I checked to see what I was getting. Where and how to vote.
