WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – City of Wichita Falls Animal Services shared tips to keep your pets safe during Halloween.
Between cats and dogs, WF Animal Services shared that special measures can help pets feel more comfortable when the celebrations begin.
Keep candy out of reach of pets WF Animal Services said many sugary treats can be toxic to cats and dogs. If you believe your pet has ingested something toxic, we recommend calling your local veterinarian or the ASPCA Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435. Avoid potentially dangerous decorations. Decorations such as jack-o-lanterns and dry ice. Open flames can pose a hazard to pets if they come into contact with them. Make sure the costume is comfortable for your pet. No matter what costume your pet wears, make sure it moves, breathes, and looks right. holiday. Pets must always wear a collar with identification. If your pet runs away while you’re on vacation, having proper identification will help you get your pet home faster. Keep indoor pets away from the door.
