For the past seven years, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has stood the test of time, which is rare among celebrity beauty brands.
The musician launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, and according to Vogue magazine, it generated $100 million in sales within 40 days of launching. Forbes estimated the brand’s value in 2021 to be $2.8 billion.
Even now, I find it hard to scroll through TikTok without running into an influencer raving about Fenty Beauty’s latest products. I agree that many of them are very good, but not all live up to the hype.
As a beauty reporter, I’ve tested all kinds of Fenty Beauty products. Some have become staples in my makeup bag, while others have fallen on hard times.
Here are some things that impressed me and some that didn’t.
