Following the success of a pilot clinic in suburban Atlanta, Walmart announced plans to open five additional Walmart Pet Service Centers. New offices will open in Cummings and Alpharetta, Georgia, and Chandler and Glendale, Mesa, Arizona.
Veterinary services include vaccines, physical exams, and minor medical procedures. Grooming is also provided, including bathing, nail clipping, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, and basic hair trimming.

Walmart+ members get free and unlimited telehealth access to the Pawp team of veterinary experts via text or video. Walmart will deliver prescriptions for customers’ pets to their homes.

The retail giant plans to operate the veterinary clinic in partnership with PetIQ, which recently closed 282 in-store clinics, including Walmart locations.
PetIQ was recently acquired by Bansk Co., Ltd., but the company was reportedly having trouble finding enough veterinarians to staff its clinics.
