Senior travelers in Europe are increasingly choosing Turkiye for their winter holidays, with special travel programs designed specifically for travelers aged 65 and over.
According to Anke Budde, president of the ASR Federal Association of German Independent Travel Agents, Turkiye has successfully adapted to the emerging winter travel trends across Western Europe.

Budde explained that German tourists are particularly attracted to Turkiye’s well-developed tourism infrastructure. The country offers a variety of experiences, including health tourism, wellness holidays, sports tourism, and cultural tourism.
“Germany is eyeing Turkiye’s winter tourism options, from family holidays to specialized tours focused on art and culture,” Budde emphasized.
Turkiye’s appeal is also increasing among travelers who want to combine work and vacation. The concept of “workation,” in which professionals work remotely while on the move, is gaining attention.
“The idea of working in Turkiye is great. The country’s hotel and technological infrastructure makes this trend a great option, but more can be done to expand this trend,” Budde said. spoke.

As 2025 approaches, Budde remains optimistic about Turkiye’s tourism prospects, noting that the country’s marketing efforts have been very effective. “Turkiye’s promotion has been excellent and travel ticket sales reflect this success,” she noted.
However, Budde warned that global political and economic uncertainty could impact the sector, adding that “factors such as the US election and the ongoing conflict could affect our expectations.
