HEBRON, Ky. (WXIX) – More than 80 Tri-State veterans and their guardians will head to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday for the fourth and final Honor Flight of 2024.
Honor Flight gives veterans the opportunity to view monuments in our nation’s capital for free and participate in ceremonies honoring their service to our country.
The group tours the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the U.S. Air Force Memorial.
Veterans will be treated to the patriotic sounds of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Pipe and Drum Corps before departing from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Veterans are scheduled to be welcomed home Wednesday night at CVG.
