Tourn Bearcats, a travel program for alumni and friends of Northwest Missouri State University, has added a second opportunity to experience “alpine lakes and tourist trains” in Switzerland and northern Italy next summer.
The Touring Bearcats are currently accepting reservations for tours scheduled for July 13-23, 2025. The travel program added this tour after all spots for June tours to the region were sold.
“We are pleased with the interest in the travel experiences we offer and the opportunity for Bearcat and his friends to travel together,” said Duane Hubbard, Northwest Alumni Association Director. . “These experiences create special connections and memories that will last for years to come.”
This travel experience features Switzerland and Northern Italy, giving travelers the opportunity to explore Zurich, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Lucerne. This adventure includes a scenic train trip through the Bernina Pass and a cruise on Lake Maggiore. Travelers will also explore Borromeo Palace and Mount Pilatus.
Tour prices start at $5,999 per person, with a $698 deposit required at time of booking. Reservation deadline is January 7, 2025, final payment deadline is April 14, 2025. Travel insurance is available for an additional $549 per person.
The trip includes round-trip transportation from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, and meals consisting of nine breakfasts, one lunch, and four dinners.
Prices are based on double occupancy departing from Kansas City International Airport and include taxes, fees, and hotel transportation. Cancellation waivers and insurance are available for purchase. All prices are per person and are subject to change.
The touring Bearcats program, sponsored by the Northwest Alumni Association, is open to the public. Reservations are limited.
