Applications from vendors interested in participating in the 2024 Tehachapi Hometown Christmas are due by Thursday, Nov. 7.
Sponsored by the City of Tehachapi, this event will be held in downtown Tehachapi on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The city is looking for vendors to purchase free crafts and activities for children, or Christmas-themed items and other handmade items available for purchase at child-friendly prices.
In addition to vendors, brick-and-mortar stores are encouraged to apply to participate in the Tehachapi Hometown Christmas Google Map. The map highlights promotions, holiday specials, extended business hours, and more offered by small businesses.
Applications can be made on the city’s website at liveuptehachapi.com/516/Tehachapi-Hometown-Christmas.
There is no booth space fee for vendors, but space is limited. The city’s Office of Community Relations is expected to announce the final selection of vendors within the first two weeks of November. The chosen vendor must be approved and able to provide liability insurance.
Hometown Christmas aims to get into the holiday spirit and offers activities for visitors in between other Christmas-related events taking place around the city on December 7th. The event concludes in time for the annual Christmas parade at 5 p.m. After the parade, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at the Tehachapi Depot Museum.
