The businesswoman and mother of Beyoncé and Solange was honored on Tuesday, October 8, at Glamor magazine’s Woman of the Year Awards, along with other mothers who have raised stars of this generation. The event was held at Times Square EDITION in New York City.
Speaking to People on the red carpet, Knowles had words of encouragement for mothers who may be going through a difficult time.
“I think the teenage years are the hardest, but it gets better and the hard work pays off,” she said, adding, “That’s what I truly believe. The more we focus on our kids, the more we focus on them. “I’ve been blessed with many things in my life. I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said the best job I’ve ever had is being a mom,” Knowles said.
