Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Bollywood’s darling couple and new parents, are enjoying the joys and sometimes turbulence of parenthood. Their love story started on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela and they got married in 2014.
Recently, a baby girl was born on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi and ever since then, the new parents are enjoying every moment of this phase. Although they have not yet revealed their daughter’s name.

Update on parenting at Singham Again trailer launch
At the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Singham Again’, Ranveer wore a black T-shirt, brown coat, joggers, ponytail and shades. Ranveer also informed that his co-star in the film, Deepika, will be at home with his daughter while she starts work on the baby in the evening.
He said, “Deepika couldn’t go. She is with the baby and my duty is night shift!”
Ranveer introduces his daughter as ‘Baby Simba’
Ranveer affectionately called his daughter ‘Baby Simmba’, linking her to the character in his Singham series. He also said that ‘Singham Again’ will be her debut film as Deepika was pregnant during filming.
“Deepika was pregnant during the shoot and our little Simmba will be seen making her debut in ‘Singham Again’. Wishing you a wonderful Diwali from Lady Singham and Baby Simmba ” he said.
While Deepika is enjoying motherhood, Ranveer can’t contain his joy at being a new father.
Just before taking her daughter home, Deepika updated her Instagram bio, giving a glimpse into her new life as a mother. Her bio describes the cycle of raising a newborn: “Feed, burp, sleep, repeat.” Many netizens also found this a relatable and realistic approach.
It is clear that Ranveer is excited about becoming a father. At a recent event in Anttila, he declared, “Baap Ban Gaya Reh!” Meanwhile, with her witty sense of humour, Deepika shared a reel of a girl waiting by the door with binoculars in hand, as if wondering why her husband is not coming back.
The caption for the reel read, “My husband said he’d be home at 5 o’clock, but here I am when it’s 5:01.”
