When it comes to packing cubes, there are many options on the market. There are options for every type of traveler, from regular cubes that keep everything in one place (for roll-and-stack enthusiasts) to compressed types that squeeze everything into a small space. However, many travelers will tell you that not all cubes are created equal. That’s why the $45 Thule Compression Cube Set is my absolute favorite (and my top choice over many other products).
The Thule Compression Cube Set, which comes with small and medium bags, is my favorite for a few reasons, but the biggest one is that the compression part is so easy to use. First, fill the cube with items. Then close the first zipper. Then close the second zipper. This basically brings everything together and compresses everything in the cube. If you are asking yourself, “How do all compression packing cubes work?” then you would be right. However, not many work as well as this set.

With other compression cubes, I find myself gasping and puffing trying to close the secondary zippers (I’ve had them sit on top of other things, like suitcases, trying to compress them), and they barely even compress my belongings. But Thule cubes are magic. Easy to open and close at any time, provides a snug fit, and resists abrasion. (Trust me, I’ve used them for over 45 trips at this point and they still look and work like new.)
Unlike many other packing cubes, Thule’s packing cubes are made using high quality YKK zippers that close seamlessly. I also like that it is made of nylon material so it can withstand heavy use. Plus, the cubes are translucent so you can see what’s inside before defrosting. Another thing I love about this set: Each cube has a webbed handle so you can easily remove it from your personal bag or carry-on and hang it, even if you’re short on hotel space. can. (Pro tip: I hang up a medium bag and fill it with dirty clothes for the duration of the trip. By the end of the trip, I have separated the dirty clothes (which can be washed at home) from the clean clothes. )

Some people may not like that this set only includes two bags, but I think it’s perfect for my packing style. The smaller ones are used for underwear, swimsuits, socks, etc., and the middle ones are used for shirts, dresses, and skirts. This cube contains multiple costumes. I pack the small size on one side of my carry-on with my shoes and toiletries (or in my personal bag), and the medium size on the other side with my larger items like jeans, jeans, and sweaters. . If you want to buy additional cubes (or don’t want to buy them in a set), you can also buy them individually on Amazon.
I cannot recommend these packing cubes enough. And multiple 5-star reviews show I’m not the only one obsessed with these packing cubes.
