Parenting is the biggest responsibility that God has given us. It is stressful, hands-on, tests human limits on patience and physical endurance, and it’s never-ending. However, the twinkle in our kids’ eyes is worth every moment of giving our everything.
Its also a test of marriage and the beauty of humanity bonding as a family despite unsurmountable odds to ensure the species survives.More than everything, parenting is a beautiful testament to God’s chessboard and how every second that our child is alive and well is a moment of gratitude to our Maker.

It’s a privilege and brings discipline in you in some form.
Also a blessing and an opportunity to be able to share intimately in the lives of people you care for deeply
It is nurturing new life which comes with huge responsibility but at the same time bundle of joy and love
Being more complete a person than otherwise. Having a reason to be hopeful, to be proud, to be ‘concerned’.
Helping the child to become a responsible and productive adult
Not much different than gardening or training a very large AI model, where I do not have much control over the data
Parents act as caregivers, protectors, educators, and role models for their children. They help shape their children’s values, beliefs, and behaviors.

To physically, mentally, emotionally and financially equip my child to be a human who is happy, successful and at peace when he grows up and yes agree with you: to be able to leave a better world off when I am no longer there.
The ability to give life and nurture into someone who can be of value to the world
Parenting means learning, to observe the child take steps, enjoy all those moments and let children be – and not try to over influence them. Guiding them only when they ask for or we feel it is absolutely neccessary for their safety and well being. Above all parenting means creating a happy human being
I feel fortunate and accountable for raising a good person.
Parenting, for me, is about nurturing the next generation into well-rounded, independent adults. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to navigate life on their own, while fostering strong moral values and a sense of civic responsibility. It’s about creating a loving environment where we can build lasting memories together, while also instilling in them a connection to their cultural heritage.
It means to relook at the world with the new eyes of one’s child. It means the ability to know one’s limits – one can guide a child but beyond a point, one has to let go off one’s ego / desire for control and let the child grow.
Parenting is supporting each other in the family to grow individually by forging powerful connections with emotions and boundaries, and staying relevant in each others lives.
It means giving the life I have brought into the world all the love and opportunities to help her grow into a person she would be proud to become.

Responsibility and joy
The most difficult task
Loving our extension and accepting their silliness. Guiding them to a better life. Nudging them to go further than we could. Above all, handing over the love, knowledge and unique experience that we lived as thats what matters and which was passed on to us.
Why we live
A journey filled with joy, stress and finally a sense of wonder at the whole process of life
As you rightly said parenting is fortune and privilege. I want to add its responsibility to raise the kid in the right direction so that he/she will be asset to society.
just wow, I mean my boy is exact replica of me, be it m childhood look or even habits,, it`s just awe..

An opportunity to leave the world a better place than the one I was born into
An opportunity and long term commitment to nurture a life and in the process grow along with the child
Bringing up a child to adds value to this world and not just a consumer but a positive contributor
Parenting is a beautiful responsibility. It’s love in its purest form. You experience the world and your vulnerabilities in a way you never have. It is holding on and letting go simultaneously as you let your child flower. It’s experiencing holding your heart that is forever running outside your body:)
The joy of nurturing a new life, and feeling the unabandoned affection (and anger) in different phases of life. From parenting a child to being parented by them is the full circle of life.
Parenting is having a better version of you and your partner and a companion of a different type
Growing up along with your kid
Fun journey of creation, nurturing and witnessing
To be, as Khalil Gibran wrote, the bow that launches the arrow. I would try to nurture them, direct them, help them, but they are their own persons with their own natures and triggers and gifts; the arrow will eventually take its own course. My job is to try and be open and receptive to them even when they, or especially when they hurt me.
To experience the whole life again. To get the chance to live the life again.
I am not completely in agreement with the nugget on the previous screen. We are not readying the child for the world, rather we become ready for the world when we become parents. Child is just happy to be child.
Developing an individual that makes the world a better place
Witness a life form and grow, enjoy the time, be a part of the life
It is a joy and responsibility to nurture and to guide. Nourishment, Values, Life Skills, Discipline & structure, Role Modelling, Independence, Adaptability…

It’s the ultimate responsibility one can have. It can be scary at times if you go down the rabbit hole of imagining all the possible consequences your actions can have on a human being you so dearly love but otherwise it’s a source of eternal bliss.
The joy of bringing up a little person who is independent, curious and ready to deal with the challenges of the world we live in.

Love, family & fulfilment for the child.
A deeply challenging but rewarding journey that no one can prepare you for.
Pretty much same as what you have mentioned. Only will add that we also want some of our extended personalities/traits to carry on in this world even after we’ve gone. Our parenting styles often try to influence our kids actively or passively to carry on those personalities/traits in the future.
Enabling my child to blossom while also building a connected family that perpetuates forward
It’s a beautiful phase full of ups and downs, where I am responsible for my child’s development and needs but also helps me get a better understanding of my own self
Responsibility, Love, Care, Family
Its the OG creation. these days people talk about entreprenurial journey or startups as that of creation, where you experience all emotions in all possible intensity. Parenting is 10x and OG of that… you every action matters.
Teaching my kid to be ready for the world
To understand love in a practical sense and take responsibility for somebody beyond your ownself
An opportunity to learn and create a good future. To nurture critical thinking and move humanity to a saner world
Legacy
Responsibility! I guess over the years the romanticised notion of being a parent (fortune or privilege) is replaced by the stress of succeeding in raising this new life!
It is a blessing
Something to look forwrad to each day … My motivation to be alive
It means being there for this little person I brought into the world and nurturing them till adulthood – sometimes being there for them even long after
For me parenting is an opportunity to reflect back at my childhood. It provides me to become a better version of myself as my children are our reflection. The kind of citizen they grow up will determine how well we have raised them.
it’s a lot of hardworking, sacrifices and lifelong commitment but also extremely fulfilling
1. Parenting is a blessing, as it adds lot of joy and happiness and meaning to life. 2.I have learned the most on my biases from my kids, as they offer fresh perspectives. 3. Plus its an opportunity to make a difference in how I want the people of the future to be.
A responsibility towards my daughter to make her independent – in all forms. Assist her to think of the possibilities that can be and the probable consequences of her actions.

nurturing a pious soul
To raise worthy offsprings who can continue and sometimes take your legacy to next level.
Parenting is well… there is never enough words to encapsulate what it means… It is a humungous responsibility to take care and be accountable for a life that never had a choice to belong to this world. Parenting means to empower the child to build a fulfilling life with a purpose and do our bit to make their immediate world a better place to flourish.

Joy and responsibility
The joy of seeing a great human being develop piece by piece, the responsibility of ensuring you are helping your child build a strong core value system, the awareness of your limitless potential to give and the ability to co-create a beautiful tomorrow.
Being a parent is *almost* the entire point of life. I am her today because of 100s of generations of my ancestors deciding to be parents (+ a bunch of luck and happenstance along the way)… so it’s about doing my best to carry that on – and have the ride of one’s life bringing up another human
Parenting is my primary ‘Dharma’.
Parenting is all about unconditional love, giving, nurturing, sacrificing.
Reinventing myself, seeing my younger self makes me feel accomplished, giving me a fresh chance with a mature mind to embrace ambiguity of the world, has taught patience to an impulsive person. Has given me purpose of life with 2 little munchkins.
Its a sense of Pride that I could bring a new life into the world. But It is also a sense of responsibility, in that my child should become a better person than I am and should get all of my good but none of my bad. Also its a sense of constant fear for his safety and well-being even if we live in a relatively very safe and protected environment.
Process of self learning and realisation
Similar to what you have mentioned, to be able to raise a child who’ll contribute to making the world a better place
Growth in emotion and evolution as a better human being . Also responsibility with affected
To be able nurture a kind and giving individual who can advance humankind in some ways.

As they get into their teens, how to guide them to be grounded and understand what’s important in life during this phase, as I think this is the foundational stage of whom they will become later in life and seeing that this works out for both parties.
For me it’s a responsibility to ensure kid realises its potential while learns to find happiness. Also instilling values through action.

Blessing and a responsibility
An emotion and a responsibility.
Its the greatest joy and the biggest responsibility I’ll ever have in my life. To be able to give life and then to shape into something that does good for the world is not something that everyone can do.
Nurture and support the child to realize their full potential
A blessing, it’s a big responsibility and something to live for.
A privilege and an opportunity
A Proud Father…Today.. After Years of patience and commitment.
Responsibility and a pleasure
The opportunity to shape the values of a child who can make a difference to the world and herself/himself
It is indeed a privilege and a welcome responsibility to be a father
Giving a good quality life to my daughters. I want to make them self sufficient and independent. I had a strong inclination to let them learn from my experiences so that they don’t go wrong where I did but very recently during my daily journaling I realised it’s a wrong practice. Everyone has their own journey.
To me parenting means being a caregiver, a mentor, a guide.
Parenting is a joy to be able to take care of someone growing up and see their progress right from the very start and see them grow every single day. It’s a responsibility also to equip someone with tools and personality to survive and Excel in this world.
Parenting is one of the few pure joys of life I am fortunate enough to experience every day. It has been my greatest learning, humbling and growing experience, and I am no doubt a better human because of parenting my two wise kids.

Discovering myself and falling in love again with my partner while nurturing someone else.
Learn, Support positively and let live
Dont know exactly, newly exploring. But yeah same thought want guide him so he wont do same mistake i did
privilege, happiness, content
Feeling eternally blessed and grateful.
Same thoughts here, I tell my spouse that parenting requires so much effort. I don’t expect anything in return from my kids, all I hope is that they become upright citizens and work for betterment of society.
Moulding another human being
Leverage my life experiences to enable my children to be better versions of themselves. And do this without being dogmatic, rather lay down guiding principles and enable them with better infrastructure
To be a child all over again! It’s a blessing to bring up a new life.
It’s having the good fortune to bring a life into this world, watching them grow into adults with a strong value system that reflects your own and also nurturing them to grow & become good human beings. We pay that they will have a better life than the one we had
To learn to appreciate your own self via the two souls that’s a combination of both my wife and me.. parenting to me is growing up while growing them.. it’s a journey of resilience, self reflection and hope … it’s a process to build the better version of ourselves only to build better them as they watch and learn.
To be a sherpa to my kid, guide them, take care of them, lead them and in the process make them more accomplished mountaineer of life
Like riding the dragon, you have to stay ahead and anticipate scenarios and hope you do the best and prepare for the worst
It is a big responsibility – to have a part in shaping a life and their role in the world. Also a big privilege – to be loved and idolized by another human being so completely – even if fleetingly 🙂
Perhaps the only serious responsibility that’s also 100% fun! It’s serious because your decisions will have a huge and lasting impact, and fun because… well, because that’s what your children will expect.
To learn to love and witness unconditionally, and to hold a nurturing space for what’s emerging within your child
Parenting is a joyful responsible and fulfilling aspect of our lives
Its the feeling of utmost selfless devotion to a being with whome you never compete
Understand the pain and pleasure of my parents that I didn’t understand / appreciate before becoming a parent
For me, it is a way to contribute to the world.
A chance to witness and be part of nature doing its thing. It adds a lot more meaning to my life. Feels like my life has become even more precious now.
It’s a responsible commitment where pain is endured happily
It’s a gift, to be able to nurture and mould a unique human being
Parenting means setting up a family, a close emotional ecosystem. To be a support system for each other in good or bad times. Having a ‘safe space’ for everyone to grow in this world.
A chance to create a better society in the future through the values we instill in our children.
For me, it’s a great responsibility than a privilege.
Gift of god to create life and nurture a future generation
Part of finding a purpose in life
An honour and a privilege that is often taken for granted.
To able to see my child growing and superseding me in all respect
Ability to nurture life
Chance to see life from a new perspective and in the process be able to change yourself and works for the better
Being part of creation and an opportunity to make the world a better place
To grow together
Giving lots and lots of love and learning everyday on how to best bring up a good human being
Having seen my kids grow into amazing adults, parenting for me now is as much about my personal growth as a wholesome human being as it’s about nurturing my little babies towards a wholesome life of their own.
To bring happy, responsible kids who make the world a better place
It’s a mix of emotions. Sheer joy mostly, a big responsibility when I think about preparing them for the future.
Parenting mean challenge
To relive the life of a kid and make a better human than myself.
Provide an environment filled with love to develop a self-reliant, happy person
It’s undoubtedly one of life’s greatest gifts ~ the opportunity to love, indulge, share, challenge and be challenged, influence, argue, disagree, inspire and be inspired, take pride in their progress and achievements and so much more. The sheer joy and parental experiences at every stage of the children’s evolution is the best thing in life.
A responsibility to this world
For me, it is a mix of all emotions ranging from absolute happiness to utter despair!
Its sheer joy of seeing a version of you grow up and stand on their feet (figuratively and literally)
Help and assist the children to grow up to whatever they want to be in a responsible way
Parenting for me is like to make sure that I make my child strong, mentally and emotionally. Parenting for me is also to let my child know that self-respect is the most important thing in one’s life and once you start respecting yourself, you would automatically start respecting everyone around you.
A privilege as well
A second chance. A chance to learn things you didn’t learn before; or learnt and forgot. A chance to see things you didn’t see before but your child makes you see. A chance to be whom you would want you child to be.
Parenting is pure joy, accompanied with the responsibility of bringing up not only a well-rounded child, but a responsible citizen.
Loving and raising my child to the max.
Privilege to raise a little human, unparalleled joy
From my personal experience, parenting is ‘A journey into the unknown’ …..discovering where all a kid’s mind can wander, triggered by just about anything, is so amazing! From Society standpoint its the pinnacle of RESPONSIBILITY ..a person is considered Responsible if his kids fit-in well with societal norms…..however, if one has a young Sheldon in the family, life can be a challenge…
An uphill task
Adding value to a new life based on my experiences. Directional guidance is fulfilling
The agency to bring forth life and nurture, to love with no bounds, to learn compassion, kindness and caring. To be humble and know happiness as is
A chance to reparent my inner child and hopefully heal it with kindness.
Parenting is a natural stride in the stage of life.
It helps us bring closer to the wonder of nature. Like for an example, i used to visit lake quite often and would get a sense of relaxation while looking at ducks there. Same i feel looking at my newborn. Empathizing with lots of people on the same boat is a bonus.
Parenting for me is like shepherding and tools I’ve are love, exposure and collaboration.
And while we are at it, make good memories to be cherished forever.
It’s a responsibility, honour and a privilege.
To enable the circle of life to continue and to make a difference to make the world better through a more aware, conscientious and compassionate generation
Its a means to look within myself, raise a generation with hope & happiness to make the world a better place
Parenting means bringing a new life into this world and a challenge, responsibility to nurture and guide the child to become a good human being and continue to serve family, society and humanity at large
In addition to what you have said, so well, inculcating morals and values that will enrich self and society is an act of love
Parenting for me is to love someone unconditionally and completely. While it has been a joyful experience for me, it brings feeling guilt and regret and not ever happy with the effort I have put in. There is also being a parent first and an individual later even though, my children are 24 and 25 years old.
Self discovery
Being a parent is a privilege, duty, and a forcing function of how I live my life in the best possible way.
Parenting for me signifies hope and responsibility. Hope to continue the lineage; responsibility to contribute to and set an example in society.

An opportunity to full my life with the company of my kids. To grow old as they grow up. To collect memories along the way. To do everything I need to do to help them succeed and live happy lives.
Its like your spreading and transferring your life and the humanity
For me parenting is the purpose of our life. We as a conscious species have a responsibility to raise the newer generation in such a way that they take care of this planet as our planet takes care of us and be good human beings in general.
This little soul has come into this world with his own personality and life path. It’s an honour to hold the space and protect them till they develop fully. I don’t think we fully understand purpose till our kids come along
As you said fortunate are those who get a chance to become parents and spend quality time with their kids. It means fortune and responsibility. It gives meaning to our lives.
It means
1. Allow my parents to enjoy the gift of parenting without worrying about time and money.
2. To enjoy the true gift of nature
3. Balancing between being protective and being carefree. And enjoying lot of emotional waves
Parenting to me is an opportunity to leave the world a better place than I came in and experienced. I have the privilege of raising 2 kids (a boy and a girl) and hopefully when I depart, I will leave behind 2 individuals who are kind, thoughtful who will help shape the world with their strengths
Parenting is a joyful responsibility for me. One that I chose to undertake and fulfil with full commitment. In the process, I grow as a person, explore my own hidden capabilities and guide my kid to the right path.
Fulfillment, evolution of self, challenging, providing unparalleled happiness
God’s grace, natural progression that comes with immense Responsibility, Accountability, and Ownership. When done right gives you lot of pride and satisfaction. One of the most difficult tasks you will every undertake, but at the end it gives you immense satisfaction watching your children grow and succeed.
Parenting is love, lots of responsibility, fun. It’s something where you have to put your professional interests secondary, just because your personal interest in the child is much more than anything else. The child brings in the best bond between family members.
To evolve self and society as you nurture another human being and world at large, one baby step at a time
A small ray of hope in the rainbow of possibilities
Responsibility. Unexpected joys. An anchor to my ambitions. A chance to do right by my daughter.
Do the utmost to nurturing a good value system in our children so they grow into wonderful adults which we as parents and they as adults could be proud of in a happy way..
Greatest pleasure and responsibility at the same time
Parenthood to means to bring another life, soul into this world, nurture her, empower her and give lessons in meaningful life and ways of life, while enjoying the most selfless and indulgent expression of love in the process. The most gratifying feeling is to see her find her own passion and purpose and take the world in her stride.
To see a better person than what you are 🙂
Best part of my life
Nurturing and preparing the children for the future
Nurture, care and in the process prepare the kid to face the world
Parenting to me is the ultimate journey of self growth as a human being. To be a good parent it’s is very essential that we become better as people. And then next comes the practical side where we hope to create an ecosystem in which our kids thrive and grow up to take this world into the future.
It’s was / is learning some crucial lessons which I may not have understood had I not become a parent. With my first born it was understanding that I can’t control all outcomes, learning to let go and accept. With my second born it was rediscovering joy and adventure. Now that my children are in their teens it is the privilege of getting to learn from them as they challenge and question everything around them including me.
The privilege of providing them opportunities to discover their strengths to contribute productively to the world and live a life of integrity
Parenting for me means the whole process – from preparing, consciously conceiving, the build-up, the birthing, immediate care, rearing, teaching, caring, feeding, playing, educating, taking the child through life’s experiences, equipping the child to face life and to be a responsible human in this world, and finally turning into a mentor and advisor for the child.
It’s definitely a privilege but also a great responsibility. The responsibility of upbringing and ensuring that our child/ren become responsible and empathetic adults.
Realisation that there are people who unconditionally love you. May be for a short duration. It’s about changing your priorities for other. Being more responsible for the additional people you being to the community
The opportunity to love unconditionally
To me it is a joy, a tight rope walk which comes with a sweet sense of a responsibility and heaps a lot many challenges.
It is a privilege to be a parent in itself with so much to grow within and in someway relive your life with a younger one.
Watching this kid become more aware and enjoying the moments
To be there with my daughter and son, to help them learn what I learnt and make them better person than me, to learn new things from them. My father used to say – ‘I bow to no one except god in my life, but I bow to my sons’; now I understand the meaning of it.
getting free labour for household chores
Nurturing & empowering
Being an umbrella to protect, a shoulder to support, a finger to hold, and a guide to show the way
To give life to a little one who you love unconditionally. To nurture them, help them make better decisions and help them find their true calling.
Parenting is passing on what you know and your values to the next generation.
It is a responsibility
Leaving a print of us for future
Loving Unconditionally
It is a journey of self discovery where you are able to really figure our personality quirks and past traumas while trying to ensure that you only pass on the positive experiences to your children.
Being responsible, and in a loving way teaching your little creatures how to stand on their own feet. Once they are able to, watching them run.
It didn’t come easy – took several painful rounds of IVF and heartbreaking losses. It’s a total privilege, but it’s also a painstaking journey to reparent myself
Choosing through love and committment to have a child at the centre of your life
To assist a child develop into their maximum potential and be fortunate enough to experience it first hand. To be able to give them the opportunities that could provide them a comprehensive world view and make them more compassionate and understanding.
Love, excitement, a human who is through you but not fully you, how the child evolves and make decisions, and creating a space where the child finds it own “mojo”
Being able to love my kids, and participate in their journey of becoming adults
Being responsible to nurture a life, passing on my learnings and legacy in a way
The joy of reliving childhood and the responsibility of moulding a little life into a happy and responsible adult
Nurturing and providing protection that makes my baby feel he is cared for.
Bringing up children to be emotionally strong, be able to right thing in a given context. Not to be overly selfish and develop ability to empathize with people around – family, friends and society at lage
Being responsible for Gift of God
It is a wonderful experience that gives me great pleasure and something that needs to be done.
It is a responsibility to nurture and individual. The journey is fulfilling as a parent ( also challenging and frustrating)
It is a gift and privilege. Raising new life on this planet, going through the circle of learning once again with them and make the planet a better place.
Growth, evolution. The most selfless job in the world. Showcases you the real you and helps you improve yourself given you have such a massive influence on another human being.
Responsibility of nurturing and bringing up a soul and help him turn into the finest human being that he can become
Responsibility, love, knowing myself better, becoming a better human being.
A chance to shape the world for the better
Prepare my child to live a purpose ful and happy life in this world. Instill good value and confidence.
Doing my best to provide the resources to my children to become the best versions of themselves.
Lots of love, lots of patience
Being responsible
Fulfilling, slightly annoying, sometimes daunting but mostly enriching journey
Enabling
It’s a beautiful journey that can be rather endearing and challenging at the same time. You get to learn how helpless you were and appreciate the efforts your family and the world have put into making life possible for you. And at the same time it bestows you with the responsibility of doing an equal or better job at raising one more human being who will make the world a better place than they come into.
Giving back to this world
Sharing love and values as I watch my children find their own paths.
Parenting is about finding joy in a family unit and pure unconditional love for another being
Selfless and unconditional love; biggest responsibility
Being an enabler to your little one. Letting them know what you know but never impose your knowledge as absolute truth. Let the kid explore and find his/her own version of truth as well. You will be amazed to find how quickly they learn and connect the dots. Act like a parachute that helps when you’re falling but never deploy it when you’re on land, else it just drags you back
Responsibility and being a role model all the time
Giving roots and wings to my son
It means a constant journey of learning and unlearning.
To care, comfort, nurture and guide with endless love
Let him/her know to be gratitude, humble and grounded when you have power ,wealth and fame. To be available for those are needy , deprived in same society. Be humble enough to understand and respect parents and encestters without comparing.
It’s a beautiful and long journey with new variables along the way
A surreal experience where you learn on the go, at times, feel inadequate for the responsibility and live your life again from childhood. Something which can’t be replaced with any other experience and something which you contribute to humanity
A life change
I haven’t really thought what it is , but I can tell you that it’s clearly process that teaches you lot about you than the child. You also develop certain traits which you thought you are poor in it ; example patience :).Its still a learning process for me, I became a parent out of curiosity.
Parenting gave me a ‘purpose’. At some point in my life most of the worldly pursuits seemed mundane and directed at self. Parenting gave me the opportunity to think and look beyond the self and focus on bringing up an individual who could be a net positive for the universe.
Great Privilege and Responsibility
The joy and privilege of discovering a new life and moulding them, in the process becoming the best version of my own self.
Be an enabler and support to my children
A Responsibility and commitment
A blessing showered up on me, making me a better person and making life more meaningful and satisfying.
Love, Responsibility,
teaches you love., for yourself ., for your child and family ., for other animals and most importantly love for humanity.
It is both a fortune and responsibility..both need to be enjoyed and be humble
Providing. Being a good model. Guiding.
Parenting is about raising children with values who will be good human beings contributing to the society and raising the vibrations on this earth.
Taking care
A privilege, a constant learning , a constant rediscovery of myself as a person
Responsibility
For me Responsibility to raise a child with correct principles , nurture their vision and give them the freedom to develop their own ideas.
A spiritual journey with a partner that requires total attention and complete dedication so that we can guide children to evolve to their illimitable potential
new experience of love and upbringing
Believe in the best version of the world
Joy, love, happiness, great responsibility; guiding, teaching, laughing, crying, and occasionally imposing; being guided, being taught, being imposed upon occasionally; watching the ebb and flow of life itself without being too judgemental; acknowledging and accepting that the only thing certain in life is death, and embracing that as well.
Tremendous responsibility and also opportunity to know what my parents went through.
To make world a better place
Enjoying time with my child till she is no longer interested in me
It’s about ensuring a child gets all that’s needed for their holistic growth and development
Parenting to me is understanding a small soul in a way that he is able to grow into a able human
A responsibility to do well by the child and a constant fight to not let your baggage become theirs. And tons and tons of patience and a chronic lack of sleep and sky high anxiety
It’s both a joy and a tremendous responsibility. It’s a role like no other and changes one’s perspective of life like no other event in one’s life normally does.
It is joy and patience, it’s allowing one’s ego to be subsumed by the personality and needs of the child, particularly as they grow up and develop their own personas, identities
Exciting and fun for first 3 years. Inquisitive for next decade and finally becomes a responsibility when children fly out of the nest. The shoulder-lean by the child is so far, life long. Let it be.
Nudging the kid in right directions
Provide the space, ability and ownership to think
Back them up or ground them depending on reality
A true partnership where the only objective is to create a thriving citizen of the future
To bring a new life and nurture it; I don’t care about the outcome though, only the process matters to me
Opportunity to bring out a better version of us ( both the parents) and a fortune to love unconditionally
It’s been a privilege to learn the truest form of love and care. To nurture and watch a child grow, has helped me grow tremendously too.
The nature part of parenting is already transmitted thru genes at birth. The nurture part needs to be done thru love, care, companionship and coaching. Parenting is also 95% hard work is always repaid with 5% pure joy from children.
Love, patience and nurturing. Seeing a person grow into a fine human being, and having played a positive part in it. Receiving unadulterated and unconditional love from our child.
It is a difficult question to answer. It means different things in different situations. Currently, it means securing a future where there is abundance of opportunities and providing with time and attention to a growing child so that she feels nurtured and loved and is happy throughout her childhood
A struggle I underestimated
A pleasure as well as a life-long responsibility.
It is unbridled joy and redemption. A portal to improve self and work for a better world around.
Helping hand
Making sure my children have an appropriate sense of value and can live on their own
A mirror reflection of better me
Parenting has been a journey of self discovery – of finding hidden depths and capacities, of learning to love with my whole being while developing the patience to stand by and watch these young persons blossoming and becoming independent. Yes it is indeed a fortune and a privilege.
Ensure that I raise a happy human being
Being able to see my child grow into a independent , compassionate individual who is able to make better sense of herself and world around her.
Real time opportunity to impact the world in a big way
A chance to love someone wholeheartedly with no expectations. An inspiration to leave a better world behind even after we are no longer here, so that they have a good life. And a constant reminder to be a better person since someone is now going to do ‘do as we do’ instead of ‘do as we say!’
The joy of witnessing my kid’s evolving curiosities and unfiltered world views
The joy of having young lives and seeing them grow to be good human beings
To be the enabler of a new human being grow into an intelligent and compassionate person.
Parenting means the world to me. To bring a life into this world and to share time with my daughter and watch her blossom while we experience growth together.
Well, at 78 my parenting memories are rather faint ! Surely it’s one of life’s most worthwhile roles. Gives you ample opportunities to dive into your own values. Makes you more tolerant & attentive
Nuture, Care, Passing our moral/ ethic and making them self reliant (irrespective of Boy or Girls)
It’s the joy of living and purpose of my life
Witnessing the changes in the little one, as he tumbles through life reminiscent of the all the stuff that you did when you were his age.
It’s a Blessing and a Responsibility as well!
A journey of discovery
Fun, hope. Makes me feel alive.
A privilege too – especially for my own personal reasons.
Parenting is a responsibility which can’t be shied away. Unlike our office work which we can delegate, this can’t be delegated else the relationship will suffer. We can delegate to a certain extent but not completely.
Inward journey of redefining temperament and discover new purpose/meaning of life.
It means leaving this planet a better place and making myself ‘redundant’ from their lives by empowering them to think and live a purposeful life
Happiness and fun…when you bring a new replica in this world is a great happiness and when you grow with him in this world is a fun filled experience. Child can be a anything and he or she becomes a great teacher and enriches your world with very broad thinking
For me parenting is the greatest responsibility that i have taken up, to guide my child to be ready to face the world, and also the oppotunity to re-discover the world with a new companion
To be able to provide our children with right set of values and skills that enable them to be compassionate, happy, honest and contribute to the society.
Parenting is the primary training and certification for one to make judgements about the world around.
Opportunity to create something new, to be able to correct mistakes that I made myself and those that held me back
Parenting in a privilege, a joy, a responsibility and a learning experience. It’s a privilege and joy to be able to raise children; a weighty responsibility to ensure that they grow up as healthy and empathetic, socially responsible human beings; and a learning experience because we learn so much with and from them.
If humanity has to continue good parenting is non negotiable as the fundamentals have to be always good
An opportunity to build a better consciousness that works to the true purpose, meaning that humans have not fully grasped the potential purpose of consciousness. Instead of using it solely for understanding and stewardship, many use it for self-serving goals, leading to conflict and destruction. Patenting for me is my moment to fill that duty in this vast consmic plan.
A big responsibility to nurture the child in a manner that it turns out to be a good human being and support the child in its journey of life. Be a true friend, philosopher and guide. Share the joy and sorrow in their journey
To help someone grow, and see myself growing too. It’s teaching and learning, all wrapped up in the same experience.
Being a role model for
My child
Allowing each generation a chance to be better than the previous one
Reliving my childhood. Nurturing my child’s ambitions, sometimes frustrating but more than that a feeling of being fortunate
To me it’s duty be well served and enjoy the process
Upbrining of a kid to good human being
It’s an incredible opportunity and an incredible privilege to shape and guide a little being into a whole person and make them ready for the world. And in the process, become a better person and rediscover the world anew through their eyes.
child gets the best
I genuinely enjoy being a parent but I also do not underestimate the responsibility. Just because I love being a father doesnt mean I am anywhere close to being great at it. I need to constantly evolve and learn as my child grows. My child did not ask to be in this world, we brought him into it. It is my responsibility to protect, nuture and groom the child and prepare him for life adequately.
It was a way of paying it forward. It helps understand your own parents better, it brings them a lot of joy and it is my way of saying thank you to them by paying it forward. It also means a new experience, unlearning and relearning and changing the bond with my partner.
Nurturing a soul. Growth within me.
Priviledge and responsibility
Joy & responsibility
Not very different from you, Rohin. It’s a way to leave a piece of me for the future
Raising someone who is intrinsically happy and fulfilled
A big responsibility especially as kids latch on to whatever you do… raising kids is truly about living right and living well
Making sure my kid stays healthy happy and engaged with the world with a deep curiosity. Allowing her to forge her own way without helicoptering 😊
Duty, learning, service before self
It starts with Love. When you love someone unconditionally, you are keeping the sanctity of that emotion continue into eternity.. The cycle continues, with your child doing the same, leaving the world a better place. All else is an outcome of that love. Teachings, values, nurture.
It’s a responsibility and bringing up a kid with love .
The greatest joy that I’ve experienced
It is creativity – create a life and to mould and see it take its own shape and form. From you, from within you, yet not you – it evolves to a beautiful new-ness the world needs and deserves.
Be there when needed
Enabling my kids to live a happy life themselves and around them
Giving something back to life
