It’s official: The Maccabees are back! Eight years after originally announcing their disbandment, the beloved band has announced that they are reuniting for what is sure to be a historic headline appearance at All Points East in 2025.
They will take to the stage at East London’s Victoria Park on Sunday 24th August 2025, marking their first show since 2017 when they parted ways at Alexandra Palace for three sold-out nights.
The news comes after the band updated their social media accounts last week with a new logo and deleted an Instagram post announcing their breakup, much to the delight of fans around the world (and soon, soon (I started speculating about what it seemed like).
The Maccabees released their debut album Color It In in 2007, and over the next eight years released albums such as Wall of Arms (2009) and Given to the Wild (2012). ) and released three LPs, “Marks to Proof It.” ‘ (2015) – Before finding success in other endeavors, vocalist Orlando Weeks released three solo albums and became a published author, while Felix and Hugo White built careers in broadcasting and this year They shared their debut LP as 86TVS. .
