ASHLAND — An unusual feast was seen Thursday night in north-central Ohio. The illuminated night sky was full of solar particles that crashed into the atmosphere, leaving behind a glimmer of purple, green, and blood red.
The “Northern Lights” gallery follows a giant circular trail that begins at Charles Mill Lake and winds through Ashland and Richland counties. Then head to the Ohio State Reformatory, Piper Road, Rahm Airport, Ohio 13 baseball field, Ohio State Mansfield/NC State campus, Clear Fork Reservoir, Pleasant Hill Dam, and the top of the Mohican region.
The photo was taken using iPhone 15’s night mode. The timelapse automatically adjusted between 15 and 30 seconds, depending on the lighting and whether I was too lazy to take out the tripod. I adjusted the exposure a bit on the negative around the water shot.
I also have a Canon 70D and watched all these videos, read a lot of material, and set the ISO to 800, shutter speed to 10 seconds, and F-stop to the fastest setting. make it work.
