Srsic announced as new LMS Principal

Lincoln County Schools is pleased to announce Bill Slusic as the new principal of Lincoln County Middle School. He has been the Deputy Principal at Lancaster Elementary School since 2018.
Mr. Srsic began his career in education in 1999 and has worked as a middle school teacher, middle school guidance counselor, and assistant principal. Bill previously worked as a guidance counselor in Lincoln County for 11 years. He has a total of 18 years of experience in school administration.
Srsic earned a Bachelor of Education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and then a Master of Education degree in Secondary Guidance Counseling from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He then earned a Rank 1 and Principal Certification I from Eastern Kentucky University, followed by a Principal Certification II from Campbellsville University.
“Lincoln County Schools gave me the first big opportunity in my teaching career by making me the first career guidance counselor in the Lloyd McGuffie Sixth Grade Center,” said Principal Srsic. said. “I am honored to once again provide leadership for middle school students in my new role as principal, and I look forward to joining our staff and students in this new adventure.”
Bill currently resides in Garrard County with his wife Melody and daughter Eleanor who is currently in college. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, camping, and fishing.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Surcic to the district as middle school principal,” said Superintendent Bruce Smith. “He is an experienced leader and is familiar with our district. I know he will bring stability to our staff and students and help guide our middle school in a positive direction. I am sure.”
Principal Sursic will soon begin transitioning into his new role as middle school principal. Billy Harris will continue to serve as interim principal during the transition period.
