After graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, Shannon moved to Fuzhou, China for a year to teach English as a second language. She then spent two years traveling and living in Southeast Asia, teaching ESL in Vietnam and Thailand. This adventure led her to become a freelance writer, writing copy articles and blog posts for tourism companies and lifestyle websites.
She eventually returned to the United States and built a writing and editing career with major brands and media companies such as Healthline, Medical News Today, and National Geographic. Shannon dove into the commerce space and began testing products and writing about them. She writes commerce content for brands such as GQ, SELF, Shape, National Geographic, VeryWellHealth, VeryWellFit, CNN Underscored, Forbes Vetted, and Business Insider.
Shannon currently lives in Boise and enjoys the outdoors frequently, including hiking trails, car camping, RV camping, and river rafting. She is always trying out new products and equipment to make her adventures easier and more fun.
