Pet owners, just like parents, want to make sure their fur babies are well-behaved whenever someone is watching them. That’s why pet facilities such as dog daycares and grooming salons give dog owners report cards.
As seen in a Sept. 23 TikTok video posted by @Summerdoingthings, one Great Dane wasn’t satisfied with hearing report cards from a dog boarding facility. Maddox’s owner told the publication that Maddox receives a report card every time he goes to day care. But this was the first time the facility decided to record reactions when the report was read aloud.
In the video, Maddox stood directly in front of his father, listening intently and not fearing the consequences because he knew he was a good boy. He stayed there for his owner to listen to it one more time to see how well he was doing during the ride.
Maddox felt at home, the report said. He likes to cut out food, but that is unknown to these owners. The nursery school also noted that Maddox tends to be a “wild child” at the nursery, but plays well with other children. When Maddox heard that, he took a step closer to make sure his owner had handled it correctly.
Wanting to be recognized for his good behavior, he started getting a pet from his father. Then he tried to sneak a bite out of his father’s food bowl. He wasn’t successful, but it was worth a try. Plus, the owner was too busy checking his report card to notice.

At the end of his report card it said, “Maddox did a great job as always. Enjoyed playing in the water with his friends at the water park. Can’t wait to be back soon!” . Maddox yelled in response. Agreeing, Maddox also went out and couldn’t wait to see his friends, especially Betty. Some people suspect that they are a couple.
The dog’s owner wrote in the comments section that it’s exhausting trying to be a good boy while the dog is at daycare. When Maddox comes home, he’s usually “not out of the house.”
TikTok users were shocked by Maddox’s reaction to the report card. As of Monday, the clip had more than 527,900 views, 64,900 likes and 957 comments.
One viewer commented: “He said, ‘Read more.'”
Another said, “She seems like the best kid in the nursery!”
Another wrote: “When you mentioned Betty, he looked away and said, ‘Please don’t talk about Betty.'”
