The Las Vegas Convention Center has posted a Saturday morning event for the 2024 Joe Weider Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend. Today’s schedule included the highly anticipated Classic Physique Olympia, Men’s Physique Olympia, Bikini Olympia, and both rounds of the 2024 Wheelchair Olympia. Here’s a quick look back at what happened on stage at World Fitness Expo.
Chris Bumstead begins his quest for Six
The day started with classic physique. Five-time defending Olympia champion Chris Bumstead stood next to more than 50 of the IFBB Pro League’s best players in the final comparison, including Urs Kalechinski and Mike Sommerfeld. This obviously means the championship is up to three more players. Let’s see how it ends at Resorts World later tonight.
Men’s physique is all about Ryan Terry and Ali Bilal
Many Men’s Physique fans aside from Ryan Terry, who was planning on returning as champion, thought 2022 winner Erin Banks would also be there with him. If this call is any indication, Ali Bilal appears to be the one pushing Terry to the title, which came as a pleasant surprise to many Brazilian fans. However, nothing concrete has been said yet. The top 10 will take center stage in the finals later tonight.
bikini uncertainty
It appears that the bikini division contest will be contested by four women. Three-time champion Ashley Kaltwasser is seeking her fourth Olympia and 50th career victory. Standing in her way are three-time Bikini International champions Laurie Chapados, Amy Leanne Delgado and Jasmine Gonzalez. Even the judges aren’t sure at this point, as it changes frequently during the preliminary screening.
The final night of the 2024 Olympia Weekend begins at 7pm PT. Saturday night’s show will feature Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini and the 60th Mr. Olympia finals.
