SAN RAMON, Calif. – Busy Buzzy Bots, a San Ramon-based nonprofit organization dedicated to making STEM education accessible to underserved communities, is participating in this year’s Bay Area Maker Fair. were the only team from the city to participate, and inspired more than 1,000 children during the event. event.
Founded by Doherty Valley High School sophomore Sahiti Madhuvars and Gale Ranch Middle School seventh grader Sarkes Madhuvals, Busy Buzzy Bots provides engaging, hands-on STEAM learning to kids who might not otherwise be able to participate. For years, Busy Buzzy Bots has developed and distributed DIY STEAM kits that teach children important science and engineering skills through fun and creative projects. From building tiny robots to experimenting with electrical circuits, these kits are designed to inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence in young minds. With the help of volunteers from local schools, the organization aims to reach 10,000 children by 2030.
“Our goal is to provide children with the knowledge and tools they need to explore STEM subjects,” said Saahithi Madhuvarsu. “It’s important to create opportunities for kids to learn by doing and have a lasting impact.”
Saaketh Madhuvarsu added, “STEM education is more important than ever. Through our workshops and kits, we want to help children develop skills that will last a lifetime.”
A global event that celebrates creativity, innovation, and hands-on projects, the Bay Area Maker Faire provided the perfect platform for Busy Buzzy Bots to showcase their work.
