SanoPass, a leading provider of fitness and wellness subscriptions dedicated to facilitating access to a healthy lifestyle, has appointed Ioana Moldovan as its new General Manager, effective October 2024.
Mr. Moldova will succeed Andrei Vasil, a former corporate sales manager at Medlife Romania who has stepped down as CEO. He will remain with the company as chairman of the board.
“SanoPass is my first startup and was founded at a particularly unpredictable time, right before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. I am proud to have contributed to the creation of this system. All these services represent a holistic approach to the Romanian concept of health. As Chairman of the Board, I will continue to be close to the company, while Ioana will continue to do so. We are confident that he will bring a new perspective to our approach to innovation and the integration of welfare and health services,” said Andrei Vasile.
Ioana Moldovan previously held sales positions within the Royal Bank of Scotland and several roles at Medlife. His last role was as Corporate Sales Manager for Medlife SA. During this period, she has managed strategic portfolios for both B2C and B2C clients in the banking industry. In the medical services field, it is B2B.
“My more than 12 years of experience with MedLife began as an account manager, followed by the past five years as a corporate sales manager in the dynamic and competitive B2B private health services market. This has been my biggest professional challenge to date, and my goal as the new General Manager of ShanPass is to take the company further by introducing new benefits services and gaining significant market share in the enterprise B2B sector. It’s about developing,” Moldova said.
Over time, SanoPass has attracted significant funding totaling €1.5 million from private investors, crowdfunding platforms (SeedBlink), VC investors, and strategic partners such as MedLife. In 2024, its turnover amounted to almost 13 million Romanian Ruu.
ShanPass has a community of over 50,000 active members and an extensive network of approximately 400 partner fitness facilities. The acquisition by MedLife in 2022 strengthened the company’s position and expanded its range of services.
