Roma coach Ivan Juric believes Paulo Dybala and Mats Hummels are fit to face Inter Milan in Serie A.
The Giallorossi coach provided an update on the duo’s fitness status in a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game against Monza, via FC InterNews.
Inter will play Roma in their first match back from the international break.
The Nerazzurri and Giallorossi will face off after playing Torino and Monza respectively this weekend.
Both will be inactive for several weeks during the hiatus. Then comes the time for the meeting between Serie A’s two biggest teams.
Inter are the defending champions and are looking to find the stability they showed last season under coach Simone Inzaghi.
Roma, on the other hand, have already changed managers this season. They sacked legendary former midfielder Daniele De Rossi and replaced him with former Torino and Hellas Verona manager Djuric.
Naturally, Djuric is only at the beginning of the process of making his mark on the team.
However, there are already some early signs that Roma have an idea of how they want to play under the guidance of the Croatian tactician.
Naturally, Roma coach Juric will want to have as many of his key players as possible against Inter.
The former Verona manager is still working out exactly what the strongest starting eleven is available to him.
And defender Hummels could definitely play a big role.
Roma signed the 2014 World Cup winner on a free transfer during the summer. He replaced Chris Smalling.
Meanwhile, the former Juventus and Palermo forward has been Roma’s attacking talisman since his arrival in 2022.
“Hummels is starting to feel better,” Juric said.
“We will evaluate him in training,” the coach explained.
“And the same goes for Dybala,” added the Roma manager.
