First, let’s talk about the materials. Each U Beauty formula is loaded with powerful active ingredients (it’s like four hero products in one), and the Flash Peel is no exception. Contains glycolic acid and fruit AHAs to exfoliate dead skin and stimulate collagen production. Retinyl palmitate increases cell turnover and tightens the skin. Vitamins C and E brighten the overall tone. This means that every time I use a mask with glycolic acid, let alone a peel with even more concentrated ingredients, I always end up red as a tomato, and when I use large amounts of powerful active ingredients, my complexion quickly fades. It becomes tight and inflamed. That being said, U Beauty’s new product is clinically tested for people with sensitive skin, so I’m actually a perfect candidate for this product. I’m also dealing with some stubborn breakouts left over from the summer months, so I decided to try something that is billed as skin-enhancing magic.
All I have to say is that it’s amazing. There was a slight tingling sensation when I applied it, but the sensation went away after I left it on for about 5 minutes. (At-home peel pros can leave it on for up to 20 minutes, but Craig recommends starting with 5 minutes and increasing gradually.) After washing off, my skin looks visibly It looks smoother and brighter, and the clusters are also cleaner. The pores on my chin were almost completely unclogged overnight.
Most notably, my skin immediately looked glowing as if it had just come out of a spa-grade treatment, and there was no post-procedure redness or irritation at all.
