Red Cabin has announced that the Railway Interiors Innovation Summit Europe 2024 will be held from November 5th to 7th at the Webers Das Hotel im Ruhrturm in Essen, Germany. The event follows the success of the North American edition held in Montreal earlier this year, which included manufacturers, operators, designers, suppliers, associations and government agencies.
The European Summit will host sessions including a panel discussion on luxury train interiors, a roundtable discussion on circularity, and multiple networking opportunities. The event, which will be attended by decision-makers from the railway interiors sector, aims to foster collaboration across the value chain to improve the passenger experience. Attendees include Deutsche Bahn, Norske Tog, OBB, Stadler, Alstom and CAF.
Key topics at the Rail Interiors Innovation Summit Europe will address challenges and trends in the rail interiors industry, including the evolution of train interiors, sustainability and collaboration. On the final day, attendees will have the opportunity to take a special behind-the-scenes tour of the renowned facility.
Monica Wick, Founder and CEO of Red Cabin, highlighted the importance of the summit in fostering innovation and collaboration, saying: “More passengers will be turning to rail as a sustainable form of travel. We are excited to welcome delegates to Germany and hear key discussions including: The future of railways. The Summit continues to be a place of innovation and collaboration, and the event is also home to the Railroad Interiors Awards, which will be held on the penultimate day of the Summit. ”
The event will also host the Rail Interiors Awards, which recognize excellence in engineering and design across six categories. The award, a joint project between Red Cabin and Mark Allen Group, includes a trophy designed by Zweigrad Design and produced by Sekisui Kydex. In addition, Siemens will host the summit and provide attendees with an exclusive tour of its facilities on the final day. The summit is sponsored by Sekisui Kydex, Senoplast, Perrone, 3M, Lantal, Wabtec, PriestmanGoode and BFW Group.
