PS Stars Wallet fund benefits have disappeared for many users, and some users are only seeing one denomination instead of three previously. This issue started yesterday and is still unresolved as of this writing. It is unclear if this is a glitch or if Sony is in the process of removing the Wallet Fund benefit.
Why did my PS Stars Wallet fund benefits disappear?
Complaints about missing PS Stars Wallet funds were first spotted on Reddit, where many members reported that entire sections had disappeared. Others say only one of the ten denominations is currently available. Denominations varied by region, but the most common were 5, 10, 20/25 and above.
I checked the PS App after the update and saw that the £5 or £20 options were gone. I checked with a colleague in the US and he said that only the $10 option is currently available.
The denomination of 5 was the most popular as it allowed members to cash out relatively quickly. PS Stars points have an expiry date, so losing this option would certainly be disappointing.
Interestingly, a few users said that they did not see any changes on their end and that the funds section of their wallet remained the same. This makes me believe (and hope) that the funds in my wallet are not completely deleted, and that this is just another PS Stars glitch.
It’s worth noting that, as previously announced, Sony is revising the terms and conditions for PS Stars this month, and may be in the process of making changes to the benefits.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep our readers updated. In the meantime, if you have accumulated enough points to cash out, we highly recommend converting your points to Wallet Funds as soon as possible.
