Planet Fitness franchisees and team members volunteer approximately 800 hours at several nonprofit organizations, food banks, and hospitals.
Planet Fitness reflects on the success of its “Flexing for Good” volunteer effort, an annual impactful event in which the gym giant invites Planet Fitness team members and franchisees to support local communities .
“Flexing for Good” has created approximately 800 training sessions both in-person and virtually for nonprofit organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Blue Ocean Marine Conservation Society, Habitat for Humanity, Higher Heroes USA, Special Olympics, and many others. Generating volunteer hours. Local food banks and hospitals.
Many Planet Fitness locations also held in-club donation drives to benefit the fitness franchisor’s national nonprofit partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and other local organizations.

The fitness franchise has donated more than $9.5 million since its partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America began in 2016.
Planet Fitness also hosts an annual fundraiser for Boys & Girls Clubs of America through PF Gives for all clubs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Planet Fitness, currently led by CEO Colleen Keating, who took the helm earlier this year, is scheduled to release its third-quarter earnings report in early November. In August, Keating told investors he was confident Planet Fitness could double its domestic footprint to about 5,000 locations, surpassing its 2015 IPO goal of 4,000 locations.
