Meet Mackie, a 5-year-old hound mix who was found as a stray almost two years ago. Mackie is a very kind child, but he has trust issues after being abandoned. He is a solitary dog and would make a great companion for a single person who needs canine companionship.
McKee hopes you will take the time to get to know him and understand his loyalty. He’s been in a shelter for too long and needs a place to call his own. He will be sent home with a starter kit containing food, a collar and a leash.

Pets Fur People requires you to fill out an adoption application before we can arrange visitation. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be closed from 1:00pm to 2:00pm for lunch break.
Pet Fur People is the oldest brick and mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. We provide routine vaccinations for dogs and cats, excluding rabies, to the general public. Donations can be made at petsfurpeople.org.
