Meet Thangka!
This goofy girl is ready to lie on her new couch and play with her new canine brother.
Tanka has the best of both worlds: comfort and playfulness. She likes to enjoy her stuffed toys and sunbathe with her friends. Thangkas are the world’s best companion dogs, even though they weigh nearly 80 pounds. She loves to be pampered and petted, and will often boo with her feet if you stop her petting duties before she’s ready.
Meeting new people can be a little difficult for Thangka, so it may take a little extra time (and an extra treat) to make friends with her. We have learned that she is much more confident with strangers when there are other dogs around. We believe that Thangka does best in a home with another dog to keep her company and allow her to adapt more confidently to her new environment. She is great in playgroups with other dogs and may be a little over-the-top at first, but when making new friends she will adjust her playstyle to suit her best.
