LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet every Friday to help you start your weekend in the best possible mood.
The Pet of the Week can be a local fur baby already living in a happy home in Lebanon County. Our weekly column may also spotlight animals available for adoption through local shelters and looking for forever families.
This week, meet the adoptable Stewart!
Stewart is a Labrador Retriever mix, estimated to be 7 to 10 years old. He ended up at the Lebanon County Humane Society as a stray, but was never adopted.
He is “a very sweet and friendly boy,” a shelter official told Rebtown. “He has a very gentle personality and is a friendly dog.”
At this age, Stewart is not looking for an overly active family. According to the Humane Society, he “will be content with just a casual walk or as a couch potato companion. This gentle man loves to lie down in his dog bed with a comforter over it. , he’s a true snuggle bug. He loves treats, enjoys human affection, and kisses his human friends.”
Stewart is “clearly housebroken and is waiting to use the bathroom until he can walk,” the shelter said. “He will do well with dog-savvy children. Canine siblings will rely on him for meet and greets.”
If you are interested in adopting Stewart, please fill out an adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
