Introducing Mabel, the Oklahoma Humane Society’s Pet of the Week! Mabel is a 10-year-old, 60-pound mixed breed looking for a loving home for her golden years.
Despite her age, Mabel still enjoys going for walks and spending time with her family. They have a calm and kind personality, making them perfect for people who are looking for a laid-back partner. She has lived with other dogs before and takes care of children well, so she is a good fit for most families. However, Mabel prefers a house without cats.
David from the Oklahoma Humane Society introduced Mabel in the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverage Pouch section and emphasized how loving she is. “She’s just as happy to cuddle with you as to go for a long walk,” he said.
Mabel is available for adoption at the Oklahoma Humane Society’s Adoption Center located at 7500 Northwestern Avenue. The center will be open this weekend from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to meeting Mabel, you can enjoy Sea’s Food Truck on Saturdays and Pam’s Italian Ice on Sundays. Three Dog Bakery will be offering value bags to anyone adopting a pet this weekend.
If you’re looking for a gentle, senior dog who’s ready to be your new best friend, Mabel may be just the thing for you. For more information about Mabel and other adoptable animals, visit News9.com/pets.
