CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Cooler weather is here and it’s the perfect time to adopt a pet from your local shelter for an outdoor adventure. You too may be able to save a life!
Let me introduce you to Grump. He’s this week’s KRIS 6 News Pet.
Grump (A368736) is currently located at City of Corpus Christi Animal Control Services.
Grump is a gold Carolina dog mix. He is about 7 months old, spayed, and has all his age-appropriate vaccinations.
Grump first entered the Corpus Christi Animal Control Center on May 31, 2024, making him the shelter’s longest-serving resident.
Staff had the opportunity to get to know Gramp.
“Gramp may be hesitant at first, but he will gradually become more at ease as he enjoys the love and attention he receives from staff,” said Matilda Perez, community relations specialist for Corpus Christi Animal Care Services. he said.
Grump joined the playgroup and got along really well with the other dogs.
“Grump enjoys eating treats during playgroup and running with other dogs,” Perez added.
Grump is a very smart boy! He is still learning how to walk on a leash and basic commands like “sit.”
Visit with Grump and all our other pets Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. You may find the perfect partner for you.
