JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, located at 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here we will introduce two of them.
Greg is a 9 month old cow/dog mix. He has a beautiful shiny black coat with white spots.
Greg is a medium-sized dog weighing 38 pounds. This puppy is very timid and is afraid of all sounds in the shelter. When you are with loved ones, you are affectionate and trusting.
Most likely, he has little exposure to anything new in the real world. He likes to be outside and walks well on a leash. Greg needs someone who will spend time with him and introduce him to all the new and wonderful things he can explore.
Goldfish are actually kittens. He is a 3 month old silver tabby. The goldfish was brought in as a stray cat.
She likes treats and petting. If she doesn’t know you, she’ll be hesitant, but once she knows you’re friends, she’ll love the attention. Goldfish have large golden eyes and white chins covered in white fur.
An online application is required to adopt a dog. Meeting the dog is also a must. You can use a cat room walkthrough to test your reactions. Dog adoption fees are $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, and include vaccinations, microchip and neutering.
Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat or $80 for two cats and include applicable exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
