PALO ALTO, Calif.—A new pet emergency room is opening in Palo Alto, giving animal owners a new way to receive care 24/7.
Veterinary Emergency Group will cut the ribbon on its new facility on El Camino Real in Palo Alto Wednesday morning, celebrating the opening of the Bay Area’s fourth veterinary hospital, joining San Ramon, San Jose and Pleasant Hill.
The veterinary emergency center will allow humans to stay with pets during all stages of treatment, including surgeries and conditions that require overnight stay, the company said. The new location will be located within five miles of Stanford University and will serve pet parents in Palo Alto and nearby cities.
VEG said the facility is equipped to perform surgeries, perform ultrasounds and X-rays, and will connect those seeking help with a qualified veterinarian to answer questions.
