Olivia Munn has spoken out about the toll her battle with breast cancer has taken on her life, especially when it comes to being a mother to her and John Mulaney’s two children.
Mann, 44, said on the Today show on Wednesday, October 23, “I felt and still feel a lot of guilt because I was sick and had to undergo surgery after being bedridden for so long.” “I mean, I thought once I got through the big surgeries, like the first four, I would definitely bounce back. But then the first wave of drugs came and I just collapsed and wasted. .”
Mann told Today’s Savannah Guthrie that she often feels “tired” and that “I haven’t been able to hold[my son Malcolm]as much because I’m not around him as much, and I haven’t been able to go to the playground as much.” spoke. She added: “I was really exhausted and I felt so guilty.”
The actress and Mulaney, 42, welcomed son Malcolm, 2, in November 2021. In July, news broke that the two had quietly gotten married. Two months later, Munn announced on Instagram that she and Mulaney welcomed their second child, daughter Mae, as a surrogate mother.

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney have been sharing sweet pictures of their two children since becoming parents in November 2021. Us Weekly confirmed in December 2021 that Mann gave birth “just before Thanksgiving.” The couple named their son Malcolm, born three years before Mann and Mulaney married in 2024.
Mann previously revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March last year and underwent four surgeries, including a double mastectomy.
Speaking on Today, Mann said she was working with her oncologist to determine what activities she could and could not do with her children as she continued treatment. “We are just a small family,” she exclaimed. “We really bond, we have a lot of fun, we laugh all the time, and John is a really great husband and father. So no matter how tired I am sometimes, we find a way to make it all work out.”

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Mann underwent a hysterectomy. “I had my uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries removed,” she said in an interview with Vogue magazine in May. “It was a big decision to have a hysterectomy, but it was the best one for me because I needed my family to be present.”
Mann told Guthrie, 52, on Wednesday that he was “doing well” but was “mixing some medicine.” She explained: So, I’m going to look for a suitable drug. But I have my hands full with my newborn and toddler, so much of my energy is focused on them and distracted by many of the other side effects of the medication. So I’m doing pretty well. ”
