No. 6 Arkansas State football will play Oklahoma State in Norman on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Razorbacks bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 5-0 win over Tennessee on Thursday, ending the Volante’s 10-game undefeated streak.
Arkansas (10-1-1, 5-1 SEC) was ranked No. 1 in both polls before losing to No. 4 Mississippi State last Friday. Another stain on the Razorbacks was a 2-2 road tie with No. 5 Michigan State.
Oklahoma State (8-5-1, 1-4-1) enters Sunday’s game on a two-game losing streak, dropping games to Texas and Georgia. The Sooners’ only SEC win came against Texas A&M in September.
Ella Pappas leads Oklahoma with six goals. Like Arkansas, the Sooners have several scoring threats. Leonie Weber, Sophia Green and Alexis Washington each scored at least three goals, and all contributed seven or more goals.
Five players for the Razorbacks have scored at least four goals: Kate Doyle, Eva Tankersley, Bella Field, Aniyah Robinson and Makenzie Malham. Arkansas leads the nation in total goals, total assists, total points, points per game, assists per game, and scoring offense.
Robinson leads the way with nine goals, while Tankersley has eight goals and seven assists, and Kate Doyle has eight goals and four assists.
Oklahoma goaltender Carolina Duffy started every game and allowed 1.16 goals per game. Her save percentage is 76%. The Sooners have three shutouts this season.
