MOOSE LAKE, Minn. (Northern News Now) – A brand new outdoor fitness court has opened on Sand Lake Road in Moose Lake.
As part of the township’s partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and the National Fitness Campaign, community members now have free and fair access to world-class equipment at the township’s new outdoor fitness courts. Ta.
It is the fourth of its kind in the state and was created with adults of all ages and abilities in mind. It also encourages users to move at their own pace and utilize their own body weight to complete the workout in seven movements.
“We have seven stations where you can do strength training using your own body weight, providing a variety of fitness options for everyone,” Moose Lake Township Clerk Donna Kirk said.
Court users can download the free Fitness Court app. This app provides world-class training and acts as a coach in the user’s pocket.
“Moose Lake Township is really pleased to have this option for our community,” Kirk said.
