A family searching for a stolen farm pet has offered a reward for the safe return of the animal.
A pygmy goat, five turkeys, two chickens and six guinea fowl were taken from the Pidgley family’s small farm near Lymington just after 19:30pm (BST) on 28 September.
Mandy Pidgley, from Hythe, said she “can’t rest” until the animals are home.
She said she was especially worried about the family’s goat, Arlo. Animals aren’t meant to be alone because “his buddy Coco misses him.”
Mrs Pidgley added that Coco is “depressed” and may have to move if Arlo is not found.
“We are following all leads and are still looking and hoping to get them back,” she said.
Mrs Pidgley’s daughter Grace complained directly to the masterminds of the theft.
She said, “Someone has captured our beloved Arlo.
“I would like to address that person directly and ask him to please return him to where we belong.
“We don’t know why they took him, but please do the right thing now and return him quietly or drop him off in public view and return him to us.”
“We feel torture every day, not knowing where he is, if he’s safe and cared for, why someone tried to take him away. We just want him back. I sincerely hope so.”
The family is currently offering a £500 reward for information leading to the return of the pet.
Hampshire Police are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to contact police.
