Welcome back, everyone. The goal is to ensure that people heading to the polls are properly educated. So, we have the Milwaukee NAACP branch, and this organization hosts political forums. We’re joined this morning by Major Ricky Townville. He is a veteran and will make sure we are respected for the title. He is also the Chairman of the Political Action Committee of the Milwaukee NAACP Chapter. good morning. how are you? good morning. Thanks for your help, I’m fine. And retired Major Ricky, the title is correct. Let’s go. Respect your name. Understood. good morning. We have an event scheduled for this Thursday, so please let us know. Please discuss this town hall forum. We host political town hall forums where we invite representatives from both major political parties, the Democratic and Republican parties, to come and sit and discuss. This is not a discussion. We selected the questions we wanted candidates to ask and answer. Each candidate answers the same questions. Time limits, opportunity for opening and closing statements. And it’s all designed to help voters and voters understand exactly what is being said. This is because when you listen to the details on TV, you can’t tell what’s true and what’s a lie. But if you hear where exactly that statement came from, not in the mouth of a candidate, but in the mouth of a representative of that party, you can take it as taking it to the bank. So why is it so important for people of color to participate in this process and to vote in this election to ensure that people of color are properly informed? What are the goals? Now, the NAACP, and more specifically my political action committee, recognized that not only Milwaukee, but the black community in Milwaukee, is in a very unique situation. As you know, Wisconsin is a battleground state. Milwaukee typically decides which direction the state goes. So Milwaukee’s black population or people of color are in a very unique position. For the first time in our lives, we can actually decide what happens, and we can only do that if we go to the polls and vote. Today, the NAACP is a nonpartisan organization. We are very political, but non-partisan. Okay, I get it. And our main goal is to allow people to come and vote. If you’re going to do it wisely, you have to know the problem. We need to know where each candidate stands and where each party stands. Our goal is to get that information out there. There are so many things I would like to ask you, so I would like to ask you this. To summarize this, there was an event yesterday. So we actually met to get people out. How do you feel when you see so many people just encouraging people to vote, and yet we’re having a 100th anniversary celebration? So please answer. So, okay. Okay. Ah, ah, NAACP, we celebrated our 100th anniversary. 100 years of service to the City of Milwaukee. And yesterday, one of our partner organizations, Soul to the Polls, sponsored an event to celebrate 60 Days and the opening of early voting locations at the Capitol. And like any good partner, the NAACP was there. And I think the Lord made it possible for you and me to be together. Okay, it’ll work. It works, it works. we support each other. And that’s the goal of supporting each other, especially in a political season. Right now, it’s the NAACP Political Town Hall, and the event is this Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Is it correct? Am I correct in what I’m saying? A two-hour event is scheduled for this Thursday. Starting from 630. Providence Baptist Church. Let’s go. And thank you to the pastor and church for hosting the event. We are located at 3865 NORTH, 82ND Street. The event begins at 630. The event is expected to last two hours. We will also set up stations where voters are. If you’re not sure if you’re registered, register there. Let’s go. We will determine if you are already registered or if you need to register. It also provides information about each party. Let’s go. So I have to cut you off. I’m sorry, I appreciate it, I appreciate it. However, all that information will be posted on our website. Thank you for joining us this morning. D Wheel Be Rig
