Earlier in the night, DIY defeated Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) and Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) to qualify.
In the finish, Ford covered Prince following a Doomsday Blockbuster and Ciampa covered Wilson following a Meet in the Middle. Both fighters lost counts of three by pinfall, but Wilson was deemed legal, so DIY won.

Both matches were part of a tournament to determine the new number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
DIY and MCMG will face off on the October 25th episode of WWE SmackDown. The winning team will become the number one contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship, currently held by Tama Tonga & Tonga Roa.
