Monique Greene has carved out a unique path in the buzzing beauty scene as the founder of Murur Cosmetics. Since its launch in 2016, her brand has become synonymous with innovation and philanthropy, reflecting her moral values and deep-rooted passion for cosmetics.
She also created a Mini Mullur’e for her 8-year-old daughter in 2016. Ms. Green has been training her children to become entrepreneurs from an early age, instilling the ingenuity and hard work that her mother instilled in them.
Green was deeply influenced by her mother, who had a keen eye for fashion and encouraged her love of creativity, even though she was reluctant to let her young daughter wear makeup.
“My mother let me play in her clothes and always made me feel beautiful. She encouraged me to share that feeling,” Green warmly recalls. Masu.
She founded Mullur’e Cosmetics to help women and young girls feel beautiful and confident to do just that. When Green faced the devastating loss of her mother to ovarian cancer in 2018, the heartbreak strengthened her resolve. Her brand now reflects her journey and commitment to causes. A portion of the proceeds from her makeup line, Teal I’m Pretty, will be donated to ovarian cancer research, ensuring her mother’s legacy continues to shine.
After honing her skills by watching countless YouTube tutorials, Green took the plunge and flew to Chicago in 2019 to take a two-hour makeup class taught by one of her favorite beauty influencers. This pivotal moment was more than just a lesson. It was a clarion call to follow her dreams.
After that trip, she started making her own YouTube videos and built a loyal audience. As her brand took off, she often did women’s makeup for free to practice her methods and record her services for content. She strategized every step of her way to success, but always at the forefront of her preparation was the mission her mother inspired.
Mullur’e Cosmetics is more than just a beauty brand. We embody a vision of inclusion and empowerment. Glee emphasizes the importance of providing women and young girls with a space to feel gorgeous and confident.
“I want to serve all girls and help them be themselves,” she says. Green’s approach is refreshingly authentic, eschewing commercial trends and having nothing to do with herself or her customers.
Inclusion is woven into the fabric of Mullur’e. The brand boasts a wide range of foundation and concealer shades, so everyone can find their perfect match. “Mullur’e Cosmetics celebrates diversity,” she says.
Launching a cosmetics line was complicated, but Green found strength in her community. “If we weren’t part of the community, Murrue wouldn’t exist,” she says. Integral to her approach is to engage with clients not just as customers, but as partners in the creative process.
“By listening and having conversations with them while providing services, we can better understand their needs.”
Her efforts go beyond products. Green actively participates in community events and mentoring programs. From raffles for students in need of makeup services for special occasions like Homecoming to workshops that teach confidence and makeup skills at local schools, her efforts reflect a deep-rooted belief in giving back. There is.
“The fulfillment I get from having a positive impact on people means the world to me.”

Sustainability and inclusivity are priorities for her. Mullur’e products are made with natural ingredients that are suitable for sensitive skin. She also leans into vegan-friendly formulas. “I want everyone to be able to use my products,” she says.
Green observes that as the beauty industry evolves, opportunities for beauty entrepreneurs are proliferating. “It’s a place where there are more resources and more influencers and where innovation can thrive,” she points out. Looking to the future, she plans to expand her coaching business, Maudle Dee Coaching, which guides aspiring business owners through the nuances of self-reflection and faith in business. “You can’t run a successful business if you don’t know who you are.”
Green faced many challenges along the way, but confessed that her biggest challenge was the uncertainty she felt within herself. “I’ve never been the type to care about other people’s opinions. I’ve always been my own competitor,” she says. “When you worry about other people, it clouds your heart and judgment. I focus on God, myself, and what we do for each other.”
Green isn’t just building a brand, he’s creating a movement. Mullur’e Cosmetics celebrates beauty, diversity and empowerment and invites everyone to embrace their unique selves. Green says: “Follow your path. Your path is unique, so be creative.” In doing so, she inspires countless others to do the same and believes that beauty is superficial. It proves that it’s not a thing. It’s about confidence, community, and the courage to shine.
