Danish pop icon Mo is back with a brand new banger. Having celebrated the 10th anniversary of her debut album ‘No Mythology to Follow’ earlier this year, she is marking the next chapter with her new single ‘Who Said’.
Created from a demo first written in 2015, the track saw the singer split his time between his home in Copenhagen and Los Angeles, where he collaborated with producer Nick Sylvester (LCD Soundsystem, Channel Tres, The Dare). That’s when it really came to life. . “I wrote the first demo of this song in 2015 with a Loni Vindal instrumental loop,” Mo explains of the song. “I’ve always loved choruses, but it wasn’t until I started working with Nick last year that it really started to take shape. We brought in Clementine Douglas to write songs with us, and it really started to take shape. turned the demo into the song you can hear today.”
Built around an addictive electronic loop and packed with an insatiably catchy chorus, the song is, as MØ puts it, “about the fear of commitment and wanting to hold on to your non-committal nature. In the end, you come to accept the reality that you can’t ignore change. It’s about facing the truth and letting go of your “delusional” mindset. ”
