Mike Tindall is a doting father to three children, Mia, Lena and Lucas, but the former rugby player has opened up about how parenting his only son is different from raising young girls.
Mike told the Telegraph: “You can’t stop him. He wants physical contact. He wants a fight. He imagines himself to be a ninja, holding a stick. He just walks around beating people up.”

“He’s a very typical boy. He can’t sleep unless he exercises like a dog and slams him into the ground. He can’t sleep unless he does it. That’s how humans are made. There’s nothing wrong with being completely masculine, as rugby players do.” ”
Last month, little Lucas became a bit of a “wild child” while out with his dad and older sisters while supporting mum Zara Tindall at the Burley House trial.

Lucas was seen enjoying time playing with his sister Lena on a wooden box, and Lucas also appeared to be practicing some kung fu moves.
Lucas, whose middle name is Phillip, ended up riding on his father’s shoulder while they were out eating ice cream, and most of it landed on his face.

This middle name has special meaning for both Zara and Mike, being named after Zara’s late grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, and Mike’s own father.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain in 2017, Mike reflected on his father’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, saying: “It’s difficult for people with Parkinson’s to accept losing that strength. “I had to adapt to a lot of things this year.” . ”

He added: “He still wants to get out with Mia (Zara and Mike’s daughter). Unfortunately he can’t do it to the same level that he would like and his brain doesn’t allow it.” You can see that’s frustrating for him.”
Elsewhere in the Telegraph interview, Mike spoke about his bond with Prince George. “George loves his football,” he explained. “I played with him in the garden many times.

“He’s also passionate about Aston Villa. Wherever he is, he’ll sit and watch the game. They’re just a family who love the sport.”
