A creative by nature, Belasco’s interior design journey began with an academic pursuit. She took courses at the California Institute of California, San Francisco in 2008, and then earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the California Institute of the Arts, San Diego in 2010. Her education provided her with the skills and knowledge to build a strong foundation for her career. Knowledge necessary to be active in the field.
In addition to his civilian career, Mr. Velasco served as a military police officer in the California Army National Guard with the 670th MP Company in National City, California from 2010 to 2018. This experience instilled in her a sense of discipline and resilience, which has served her well in her professional success.
Ms. Velasco is known for her expertise in the luxury, multifamily, student life, commercial and active adult design fields. Her ability to navigate these specialties has earned her accolades, including Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award. She is also a partner with CREW Orange County, reflecting her commitment to civic engagement and professional networking.
In 2021, Velasco began a passion project with his longtime friend and now business partner, Nicole Hough. Together, they launched a wine import business called Spain To CA, which imports Spanish experiences from Spain to California. The business focuses on luxury corporate and holiday gifts, and she turned the needs she found in her personal life into profitable solutions.
A first-generation Mexican-American born in the Bay Area, Mr. Velasco enjoys traveling and spending time with his loved ones. Inspired by her grandfather, Juvenal Ornelas, she attributes her success to hard work, tenacity, and unwavering tenacity. She remains motivated to accomplish great things for her family.
