The call from the Bissell Pet Foundation asked if there was space to bring in more animals from North Carolina, which was recently devastated by Hurricane Helen. On Friday, Oct. 25, employees met nine dogs and three cats in Binghamton. They came from all over North Carolina to find their forever home in New York.
The animals, which were brought to Cooperstown from North Carolina, were brought to the area by Pilot to the Rescue, an organization that specializes in safely transporting pets. Relocating these pets (who were in the shelter before the storm or surrendered after the storm) will free up space for North Carolina shelters for other animals and help those affected rebuild. can assist you.

The animals brought in from North Carolina are now available for adoption.
