More exciting partnerships will be announced as the fall High Point Market approaches. Earlier this week, Calco unveiled a collection with Beverly Hills interior designer Christopher Grubb, announcing that it will introduce chandeliers, lamps, pendants, sconces and mirrors (a new category for the company) next spring. Meanwhile, fellow interior designer Barclay Butera, as previously reported, has a new collection by Fine Arts Handcrafted Lighting set to debut on the market this month.

Visual Comfort CEO Andy Singer will be honored at the ARTS Awards in January. Singer, who founded Visual Comfort in his garage in 1987, would go on to win an Academy Award.

In product news, WAC Lighting adds dimming and warmth technology to Aether Atomic’s compact recessed light fixtures. The color temperature ranges from 3000K to 1800K, making it suitable for a variety of applications and spaces. According to WAC Lighting, by mimicking the dim appearance of incandescent lights, the fixture can vary color temperature to create a visually pleasing and inherently familiar experience, while offering the energy savings of LEDs. It is said to be able to achieve up to 900 lumens at maximum brightness while benefiting from a long lifespan.
