Two Lakeland College graduates now have their turn in Las Vegas after their interior design was recognized by judges from the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
Interior Design Technology (IDT) graduates Meghan King and Mamie Granger will travel to the International Design Show in Las Vegas as part of their winning bid in the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Student Design Competition.
“There’s no one I’d rather go to Las Vegas with than Meghan,” said Granger, who placed third in the NKBA’s bathroom category.
The prize is part of the package Granger and King received when they entered the contest. The product will be unveiled at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in February 2025 in Las Vegas.

“I’m really surprised to be able to participate in the contest,” said King, who came in third in the kitchen category. “You always hope to win, but there is no guarantee that you will be in the top 100. To come in third place overall out of 250 entries is very emotional. I’m really looking forward to seeing what else is going on.”
Over the summer, the IDT program received its 9th annual Excellence in Teaching Award from the NKBA.
