This year’s Academy Museum Gala was full of makeup inspiration, so it’s only natural that actress and model Kaia Gerber would share her unconquered beauty look since her first red carpet appearance. Probably. For a while, we wondered what it was that made Gerber’s effortlessly elegant look feel so approachable, but then an epiphany hit us. Givenchy’s Fall/Winter 1997 dresses recalled Audrey Hepburn’s iconic appearance as Natasha in King Vidor’s film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. , written in 1869.
But there was also something darkly alluring about the makeup, which Gerber herself dubbed “Gothic Hollywood glam” on Instagram. Nina Park, the celebrity makeup artist behind the creations, used Addiction Tokyo products to bring her vision of beauty to life. “For Kaia Gerber, who attended the Academy Gala, I wanted a make-up that would elegantly modernize her Regency-inspired Givenchy dress. I wanted to accentuate her features, accentuate her natural glow, and make her “We focused on a luminous palette that includes blush shades to bring your inner light to the forefront,” she explained.

To tone Gerber’s skin while keeping it soft and natural, Park chose the brand’s translucent powder. It blends into your skin, leaving your skin smooth and enhancing your complexion. To use, simply roll the included powder puff onto the mesh liner lid, pick it up, and press the puff against your skin.

For a bright highlight that added an ethereal glow to Gerber’s makeup, Park used Addiction Tokyo’s Glow Stick in the shade Above the Moon, a pink-beige color that adds a natural glow to her skin. The Glide-On Stick formula comes in two textures and can be applied directly to the areas of your skin where you want that glow. Park applied the product to the high points of Gerber’s face.

On Vacay cheek tint
To extend wear time and add a flush of color to the cheeks, Park used On Vakai, a cheek tint in a gorgeous terracotta shade, for a fresh, healthy glow. What’s unique about this formula is that it blends and builds seamlessly while being extremely long-lasting. To use, dab the cheek tint onto your skin with a doe-foot applicator and blend with your fingers or a brush.

The park follows the Addiction Tokyo Cheek Tint in the brand’s matte finish. Rose Latte Blush is a neutral rose shade that blends seamlessly to create a natural, glowing finish that we’re obsessed with. The velvety smooth product adds dimension to your face, making it look as if Gerber reached up and dyed your cheeks pink. To recreate, place the blush brush in the compact, twirl it, and dab off the excess before applying it to your cheeks.

Preparation is key to achieving the perfect eyelash look. That’s why Park used Mascara Primer Curl Fixer to hold curls while adding volume. A sheer lash primer that uses an ultra-fine brush to coat the eyelashes from the root to the tip, and has a waterproof staying power that lasts for 24 hours. For perfect application, first use a brush to apply the product to the base of your eyelashes, moving upwards.

Mascara Color Nuance WP Black River
Next it’s mascara time. To create Gerber’s feathery lashes, she uses Black River’s Mascara Color Nuance WP (described by the brand as a “dramatic jet black with intense shine”). Mascara separates the eyelashes and coats them with vibrant color and translucence. Finish. This formula is lightweight, buildable, and waterproof. To achieve the same look, first curl your lashes for extra lift, then wiggle your formula-covered brush from root to tip.

Park used Vintage Tokyo’s Addiction Tokyo Eyeshadow Palette, a pink-brown palette inspired by a dancer’s tutu. First, Park blended a warm taupe shade into the crease for depth, then placed light-catching glitter on the lid. We are particular about the appearance of the finished product.

To get the same lip look, apply the product directly from the tube to your lips and swipe more to build up the pigment.

For the finishing touch, Park layered Addiction Tokyo’s Lip Serum in Rosy Pink over a lip balm matte to add some shine. A long-lasting formula that moisturizes your lips while adding plump color with just one application. It also contains skin care ingredients to lock in moisture.
