Julie Bowen talks about raising three teenage sons and the important lessons she learned about time.
“When you’re a teenager, your sister taught you this and it really helped because you’re like, ‘What am I doing?’ It’s like I’m sitting there because I need to go on a date or something. Is it better to become an adult? ” Julie, 54, said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Three Questions with Andy Richter” on Monday, Oct. 14. “She said, ‘At this age, there’s a 5 percent chance that I need you.’ And the other 95 percent, there’s a chance I’ll give you a rat (ass) if you’re around.” .”
“But you never know when they’ll need you,” she continued. “Or where it is. And if you don’t lurk, you’ll miss the moment, I mean, yeah.”
Julie has son Oliver and twins John and Gustave with ex-husband Scott Phillips. The Modern Family actress and real estate investor were married from 2004 to 2018.

The child’s mother spoke about her children. “I guess I’ll go make a plan. Still, if you’re just parked for a little while, make some fake cookies in the kitchen that no one will eat. They’ll start coming and going.”
“Start conversations with teenagers. You have to like them somehow to be good around them,” Julie added. “But I think it would be fun to plan and have a super awkward meal together at Chipotle, where you never look up from that weird hair in your face.”
Andy agreed that Julie’s awkward dinner with the kids was like “an interview for a job you don’t want to do.”

Julie agreed: “That’s right.” But I think, “No, what do they want to do?” And you’re like nothing. They don’t want to do anything. So you have to be there in a way to catch the spill, and sometimes it’s scary and magical. That’s my teenage advice. ”
This isn’t the first time she’s opened up about parenting in recent weeks. hysteria! The actress appeared on Today on September 12 to talk about her new project and life at home with her children.
“They sleep all day. Luckily, they’re all growing at different rates and at different times, and they’re all in that heavy sleep cycle,” she said of her sons.
“Right now, I’m working on the East Coast and they live in Los Angeles, so the only way I can communicate with them is through Snapchat,” Julie told host Jenna Bush during her appearance. told Hager and Hoda Kotb.
Hoda and Jenna were furious when she brought up the fact that her kids all had pretty unique hairstyles. “They all have ridiculous hairdos. I bless you, I love you, my children,” she said. “Your hair looks really stupid.”
