I’ve found myself stocking up on bronzers and blushes in every shade because you never know when you’ll need to “change up your color,” especially between seasons. That’s why I’m drawn to products that save me so much makeup time. This Jones Road Miracle Balm was pigmented and seemed easy to apply, so I knew I had to give it a try.
Why I love Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm All Over Glow
It’s shiny and colored
This dusty rose color is very light and not too bold like some bronzers and blushes I’ve tried. It’s light enough for a cozy season, and I think it’s perfect for the color preference I’m looking for.
The best thing about this balm is that the color builds up easily and is almost sheer. Once you open the product, you can apply as much or as little as you need without guessing or overdoing it.
Gives a natural glow
The only makeup I did before using the balm was concealer to cover the blemishes. All that shine comes from this balm. I love how it gives my skin a natural tint while making it look like glass.
I also think this balm is perfect for a little color or “no makeup” look on a sunny beach day, or even on mornings when you don’t have much time. You can apply it alone or over concealer like I did.

Packing is perfect for traveling
The advantage for me is the size and packaging. It’s small enough to fit anywhere for travel, and the cap can be twisted. You can carry it in your work bag or travel makeup bag and it won’t take up much space. This is a balm, so you get more product by rubbing in the moisturizer instead of skimming it off.
Things to consider
The texture is thick and sticky
This formula has a thick texture, so it’s not ideal for those who prefer something lightweight on their cheeks. This balm glides smoothly onto your skin, but I highly recommend warming it up by rubbing the product between your fingers. This technique makes it easier to apply.
My skin felt a little heavy both during and after application. It gave me a glow that looked great, but it took me a while to get used to the feeling. I found that my hair stuck to my cheeks even during the day.
A review on the Jones Road website claims that it also felt this way when I applied the balm to my cheeks. But to alleviate this, the brand recommends using no or no light moisturizer beforehand, or using a translucent powder to mattify the areas you need.
The product has a strong odor
At first, when I opened the balm and applied it to my cheeks, I wasn’t quite sure what I was smelling. It almost reminded me of something old or vintage. The scent is definitely compared to the product name “Dusty Rose”. No problem even if you are not sensitive to smells! If you’re like me, take note.
