Disney+ has released a trailer and key art for its upcoming original series “Interior Chinatown.”
Premiering on November 19, 2024, the 10-episode limited streaming series features an ensemble cast led by Jimmy O. Yang, Ronnie Cheng, and Chloe Bennet.
The show will be helmed by Taika Waititi, who directed the pilot and will serve as executive producer alongside creator and showrunner Charles Yu.
Interior Chinatown is based on Yu’s acclaimed and award-winning novel of the same name. The story follows Willis Wu (played by Yang), a background character in the fictional police procedural drama Black & White.
Willis plays the humble role of a waiter in Chinatown while dreaming of being in the spotlight and becoming the hero of his own life. When he accidentally witnesses a crime, he becomes embroiled in a larger conspiracy and is forced to confront both the intertwined criminal activities and the hidden past of his family.
