Luckily, they shared some top tips on how to avoid making your decor look tacky.
Ryan Calvert, Hyatt Hardware Product Expert said:
“We want to celebrate the holiday season, but many of us want to do it in a way that enhances, rather than overpowers, the style of our home.
“These tips will help you create a space that’s both festive and elegant, adding a touch of sophistication to your holiday celebrations.”
1. Choose a Christmas color scheme
One of the most important decisions when it comes to Christmas decorations is choosing a color scheme.
If it doesn’t match your current furniture, it will automatically make your decor look cheap and tacky.
We want to celebrate the holiday season, but many of us want to do it in a way that complements our home’s style rather than overpowering it. These tips will help you create a festive and elegant space.
Ryan explains: “It’s important to choose a Christmas color scheme that complements your existing decorations and furniture.
“Traditional festive colors like bright reds and greens work well, but it’s easy to go overboard.
“The great thing about Christmas decorations is that there is something to suit every style!
“Whether you’re aiming for a frosty winter wonderland of icy blues and silvers or a cozy, rustic feel with soft whites and taupes, consistency is key.
I’ve already decorated the Christmas tree and I don’t care what anyone thinks about it – I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on decorations from Home Bargains and other stores
“Using the right color scheme will help your holiday decor look intentional and not overwhelming.
“For a more traditional yet sophisticated Christmas aesthetic, consider sticking to a classic holiday palette.
“Colors such as snowy white, rich burgundy, gold, deep green, and subtle metallic accents bring elegance to the space.
“Whichever you choose, be sure to mix the shades to add depth, otherwise they’ll all blend together.”
2. Determine your focus
Another important thing to consider when decorating your home is location.
It is important to choose the right focal point of the room for a particular decor.
Ryan says: ‘For avid decorators, deciding where to put your Christmas decorations may be obvious, but if you’re new to Christmas decorating, a good place to start is by deciding on a focal point.
“Whether it’s a Christmas tree by the window, a festive mantel, or a gorgeous entryway, use your space to choose the holiday decorations that best fit the area.
“For example, the fireplace mantle is a great place to hang stockings or place a festive wreath, and the front door is the perfect place to display seasonal wreaths and twinkling lights.”
“Perfect Christmas present”
Smart shoppers have shared the great deals they’ve found at Home Bargains. People say it makes a great Christmas present.
Jess Osbourne shared the savings deal on social media and people were desperate to get their hands on goodies for Christmas.
Jess found a bargain at Home Bargains and was shocked to find it was only £3.99, despite normally selling for £50.
She said: “The Wind product is a home bargain for £3.99 and although I’ve never used it before, I’m told the RRP (recommended retail price) is £49.99.”
The beauty fan shared snaps of two of her purchases, including the £3.99 Whind Atlas Pure Purifying Whip Mask.
The luxury face mask, which contains green clay and salicylic acid to help combat oily and combination skin, usually costs £30.
But that’s not all. She also purchased the brand’s Sahara Silk Vanishing Cream Exfoliator.
Jess was available for purchase for £3.99, even though it was on sale for £50 on the site.
The vanishing cream contains pomegranate enzymes, rice bran, and rasul clay to remove impurities and chemically and physically exfoliate the skin.
The post was shared to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members.
3. Class up your Christmas tree
According to experts, clashing colors on your Christmas tree can instantly make it look tacky.
Ryan says: “The Christmas tree is the focal point of your vacation home, but if you’re worried about it being too busy, there are plenty of ways to make it look stylish.
“Instead of using flashy, flashy ornaments all over the place, consider a more sophisticated approach with ornaments in a uniform color palette, such as white, gold, or silver.
“If you want to add an extra touch of luxury, try incorporating glass or metal ornaments.
“Alternatively, you can choose faux wood in a chic, minimalist style, such as matte white or deep green with a subtle glow.”
